Lets save this amazing planet

In 2019-2020 just over 900,000 tons of plastics ended up in landfill in Australia. More than half (54%) of that was soft plastic. With the rise of online ordering and pre-packed goods, we can expect these numbers to increase.

There are many partial solutions that will help us reduce our impact on the planet. Reducing our usage of plastic is critical.

For the plastic that is still in our eco-system, recycling as much of it as possible will reduce the need for new virgin plastic to be created. A closed loop system is what many countries are working towards.

Wholly Shrink! was born out of a desire to  make it easy to collect soft plastic at home, in the hope that with greater ease, comes higher recycling participation.

For those of us that do have access to soft plastic recycling facilities, please take up the challenge. Help us to save the planet, one scrunch at a time

Our planet needs your help

Soft plastics are a concern to the planet and our oceans. By soft plastics, we mean plastic packaging that can be scrunched in your hands. For example, bread bags, cereal plastic liners or pre-washed baby spinach leaves bags among many others.

We believe many people want to recycle soft plastics but find it hard to do. Wholly Shrink! makes it much easier, and even fun, to collect and compress soft plastics in your home or workplace prior to recycling.
