Have you ever just put something in your recycling bin and hoped that it was recyclable?

You're not alone. Labels can be confusing, and collection systems aren’t always reliable. Right now, we’re all somewhere between vaguely aware and deeply outraged by plastic pollution. But we all want to do the right thing!

Brice Lamarque and his family were hoarding plastic in their cupboard, with the intention of recycling. But the space it was taking up became a problem. He looked online for a storage solution – something that would reduce the volume of soft plastics effectively. It didn’t exist… yet. Brice designed and built a prototype from a plastic bottle cut in half before developing a 3D printed design that became The Shrinker.

We know the world’s not fixed yet, but we’re not here to wait. The Shrinker is all in on reshaping the way households handle soft plastic. It’s a small step toward big change, helping more people take charge of their waste habits, one scrunch at a time.

"If you remove the friction, it’s much easier to adopt a habit. And that’s what the Shrinker is, we remove the friction at that crucial moment when you want to dump it in your landfill bin."
